Are You Blessed With Community?

Count yourself blessed if you attend funerals for grieving family and friends, weddings for rejoicing brides and grooms, baby showers for new parents and grandparents, and birthday and anniversary parties for milestone celebrations. It shows your presence means something special to someone else and you are part of a community that shares life.

“so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another,” Romans 12:5.

Count yourself blessed if you have others for which to pray.

“With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,” Ephesians 6:8.

Count yourself blessed if you have others that pray for you.

“. . . I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day,” 1 Timothy 1:3b, and “and pray on my behalf,” Ephesians 6:19a.

Count yourself blessed if you have others with which to worship.

“. . . not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another,” Hebrews 10:15a.

Count yourself blessed if you have others with which to study God’s Word.

“But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves,” James 1:22.

And count yourself blessed if you are a child of God.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life,” John 3:16

“See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are,” 1 John 3:1a.

A community of believers shares joys and divides sorrows. Are you a part of one?

“Dear Sweet Lord, encourage me to participate in a godly community, and thereby, live stronger for You. Thank you, Amen.”
