Blessings from following God. Prayer requests?
Acts 5:29, “But Peter and the apostles answered, ‘We must obey God rather than men.’”
Lately you may find me cruising the local mall to get a jump on holiday shopping. I’ve notice groups of young teen girls which reminds me of junior high; similar clothes, similar hair, similar purses, shoes and boots; even similar attitude.
They yearn to fit in because exclusion hurts. When the desire to be included exceeds the will to do right, bad things can happen. Of course, it’s not only junior ‘highers’ but adults fall into compromise for the sake of acceptance and gain. Blending in like paint drops on a watercolor wash rushes to the top of our list and we end up painting God out of the picture. He lives eternally as the Alpha and Omega, the Lord God of all that is seen and unseen, Who was, Who is and Who is to come. Like splashing black paint on the Mona Lisa this question slams believers head-on. Who do you obey?
Who or what is most important to you? Who will you stake eternity on? Words are cheap. What do your actions reveal? Will you settle this question today?
