Blessings of Peace! Prayer requests?
John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”
John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
Romans 5:1, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Italics mine)
A profound stillness pervades early mornings on the ranch. Golden oranges, purples and reds ride low on the horizon and signal a new day. The heart settles, breathing slows and senses quicken. The wind rustles through oak and cedar branches, birds caw overhead, and a lone cow trumpets breaking the silence. Cool breezes caress the face and a winter chill brings goose bumps. A pleasant fragrance from nearby rosemary bushes and the taste of freshly brewed Colombian roast gently tickle the senses.
Peace saturates the heart, mind, body, and soul, but however satisfying this peace feels, it fails to match the transcendent peace of God found through the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lord exists as the source of true peace (Psalm 4:8, 55:18; Ephesians 2:4, 14, 15).
His peace connects with blessings (1 Samuel 25:6; Numbers 6:30; Psalm 4:8, 122:7) and righteousness (Psalm 85:8, 10; Isaiah 32:17).
His name is Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
At his birth angels proclaimed “Glory to God in the highest and peace on earth …” (Luke 2:14).
Jesus guided his followers to “be at peace with one another” (Mark 9:50) and to be peacemakers (Matthew 5:9).
He is the God of Peace (1 Corinthians 14:33).
Jesus is our peace and establishes peace (Ephesians 2:4, 14, 15).
He freely gives His peace (John 14:27).
This Christmas season receive and open the gift of PEACE that is already yours through Jesus Christ our Lord! How will you share His Gift?
