Be blessed by finding God every day. Prayer requests?
Deuteronomy 4:29, “But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.”
Micah 7:7, “But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.”
How many times have you phoned someone to ask a question, gather information, visit, or set a time for a meeting or appointment, only to miss the return call? You left the phone in the car, in another room, in another coat or purse or inside while you went outside. You set it on mute or vibrate, became distracted and didn’t hear it. Maybe you didn’t expect a return call because you’ve suffered disappointment or grown cynical toward the person or organization. We miss out and feel frustrated!
So why do Christians miss out on connecting with God? Do we compartmentalize beliefs, leave them at church and only ‘pick them up’ at the next service? Do we mute our beliefs by behaving like God is irrelevant and His Word unnecessary? Do we tune out God through deliberate rebellion, quiet neglect, or simple apathy? Are we distracted by worries or too busy to wait? Or do we not expect to hear from God so when He does respond we fail to recognize Him?
Place that call today. Be assured God picks up, listens and responds!
