Blessings for life on the right Way! Prayer requests?
John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
A chemical spill halted traffic for hours near the ranch. We drove blissfully unaware as we headed for dinner at a local diner. On the way back, a couple of miles before our turnoff, bright orange barrels barred the way. Tx DOT (Texas Department of Transportation) employees told us the reason so we ventured off to find another way. We pounded pothole-laden pavement on twisting one lane back roads only to find our way still blocked. The next Tx DOT employee informed us to head back to the initial barrier because residents were now being allowed through. We dutifully returned and made it safely home.
Maybe life is rough right now. Could you be on a detour? Did life get rerouted along the way? Are you winding around on bumpy back roads and the way to God seems blocked? Could you be lost?
Today’s world bubbles over with difficulty, distraction, and disappointment. You may find yourself either innocently side tracked or deliberately rerouted, and you want to discover the way back. But life is hard. Ask yourself…
Do I ignore God or give Him less than my all? Deuteronomy 6:5, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”
Do worries or stress block my way? 1 Peter 5:7, “…casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”
Am I too self-absorbed? John 13:34-35, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another…”
Please realize God patiently waits for you. 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”
And God is more powerful than any barrier. Jeremiah 51:15, “It is He who made the earth by His power, Who established the world by His wisdom, And by His understanding He stretched out the heavens.”
What blocks you from God? Will you get back on His Way? Jesus is the way, so when you see Jesus you see the right way back. Happy traveling!
