Blessings of a trouble-free week with Jesus. Prayer requests?
John 14:1-3, “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”
Out on the ranch, we’re rapidly outgrowing the old barn, so it looks like our future includes a new and bigger barn. But, it requires careful planning and preparation and numerous choices. First, we must decide the purpose. Will it be for animals? Will it be a work and storage area for ranch equipment? Will it offer area for an artist’s (or writer’s) get-a-way? Then we must consider design and colors, both interior and exterior, choose the right site, and select the right one to do the work.
Jesus assured his disciples that He had already prepared the perfect place. Unlike our various choices for the barn’s purpose, His purpose was clear; supply his followers a place to live eternally trouble-free. Jesus carefully made all the right choices. He not only offers his followers the perfect place for eternity, He also provides the perfect Person, Himself, with which to spend it.
Jesus is the Right One, and His work is done. Will you choose His eternity in His perfect place?
