I’ve long enjoyed the privilege of motherhood, and although one’s role changes as life progresses, there’s still the unbreakable bond that connects mother and child. Admittedly, points of sorrow, frustration, and fear bubble up from time to time, but mothers push through until the light once again prevails. And it always does.
Christian mothers know where they stand. Humble and broken before the Lord with hands open to receive His marvelous mercy and grace beautifully gilded with His glorious wisdom and love. Because none of us can do it on our own.
“Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, In His arm He will gather the lambs and carry them in His bosom; He will gently lead the nursing ewes.” Isaiah 40:11
I thank the Sweet Lord for my mother, and for my child, who carry the spirit of God and possess hearts for others, minds of discernment, hands of a servant, eyes of love, voices of Heaven’s chorus, and the faces of angels.
Love your mother and your children every day even as Christ loves you.
